Funerals & Memorials
“Life is a celebration. All of it. Even its end.” – Joanne Harris
The end of a life is as important to celebrate as the beginning of one. It is important for the living to be able to say goodbye in a way that feels appropriate and true to the person who has died. By working with an independent celebrant like me, we can create a ceremony that really reflects you or your loved one.
A funeral ceremony doesn’t have to take place in a chapel or crematorium either, we can perform it at the family home or other appropriate venue of your choice, before the burial or cremation.
Whether you want it to be quiet and simple or a noise filled celebration, non-denominational or a full pagan rite, I will work with you to create the right farewell for yourself or the person who has died.
If you are coming to the end of your life and would like to plan your funeral in advance or have a living wake, please do be in touch with me. As well as being a celebrant I am also an End of Life Doula and would be pleased to support you and your family with anything you might need to prepare for this time.
I am also pleased to offer memorial ceremonies if for any reason you haven’t been able to hold a funeral or wish to celebrate the person’s life separately or in a different way.
Will you travel to perform the ceremony?
Yes, I am based in the Midlands of the UK but I am happy to travel anywhere, in the UK and abroad. My standard fee includes travel by car up to an hour from Birmingham in the UK. After that a mileage fee or travel expenses are incurred.
How do we book you?
Contact me via [email protected] or on 07872 995 794 to discuss date availability and details of your ceremony. I look forward to hearing from you.
